Fun Fact
On January 15, 1919, a tank filled with 2.3 million gallons of molasses erupted sending a wave of molasses, traveling at an estimated 35 miles per hour, down Commercial Street in Boston's North End neighborhood. Twenty one people died and numerous others were injured.
